Chapter 1- Illegal Logging
Imagine you are sitting in the trees of your beautiful forest home. You have to travel around a lot for a healthy,
varied diet, but because of your expert knowledge of where to find it, food is in abundance. You have the best little
baby you could ever wish for, and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Each
night you sleep in your own little nest that you build yourself...
An ominous whirring, grinding noise wakes you and your baby from your slumber. It starts off far away but then you see the source of the noise; strangers intruding into your home, armed with chainsaws. There is nothing you can do, so you flee as fast as you can. When the whirring noises quieten and you have gathered enough courage, you return to where your bed used to be. The broken stumps foretell the start of something even worse.
